Andrea's mission is to share the practice and the philosophies of yoga and in a way that it is authentic, accessible and applicable to the modern day human.

 

She works with students across the age spectrum in her private and group yoga classes to create heartfelt connection in all areas of their lives.  Her playful and grounded approach to yoga empowers her students to take ownership and responsibility for their own yoga practice, without apologies.

 

As a teacher, Andrea is honoured and humbled to mentor new yoga teachers and create high-quality content.  She is the creator of FIercely Strong Yogis™ Strength training protocols for the modern day yogi, which continues to inspire her to teach yogis how to develop foundational strength through strategic strength training. 

 

Andrea is a body empowerment specialist, yoga teacher, and integrative nutrition & movement coach.  She has completed over 300 hours in yoga teacher trainings of various lineages (Hatha, Iyengar, Power, Yin, Pre/Post-Natal, Restorative, Vinyasa, Tai Chi, Pilates) and her primary influences include Baron Baptiste, Michelle Tamblyn-Sabo, Bernie Clark, Kinndli McCollum and Paul Grilley.  

 

She is a member of the Yoga Alliance (E-RYT200), a certified Health Coach (AADP), an integrative nutrition coach (PN L1) and a certified personal trainer (CFP-PTS).  Her formal education includes post-secondary studies at Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario).

 

She has worked in the health and wellness field for over 17 years, with 11 years (and counting!) teaching yoga.

 

Andrea can be found teaching group and private session globally.  In Toronto, you can find her sharing tools, education and the odd 90's reference in her power yoga classes at PowerYoga Canada,  working to create pain-free humans at Manual Works Rehab and creating foundational strong yogis at HARD Studio.

 

She is currently studying Yoga Therapeutics (500HR) to advance her knowledge.
